Pedal for Preservation, June 18

Looking for a fun family cycling activity? Sign up for the 5th annual Pedal for Preservation, taking place on Saturday, June 18, and  organized by the Land Conservancy of NJ. The ride leaves from West Morris Central High School in Chester, and there are 3 ride options - a 7, 20 or 30 mile ride along the Columbia Trail, as well as a 2 hour hike on Schooley's Mountain. There are well stocked rest areas along the way (with port-o-potties!), t-shirts for youth and teen participants, door prizes, light breakfast and lunch, and much more!

The Land Conservancy of NJ preserves land and water resources, conserves open space, and inspires and empowers individuals and communities to protect our natural land and environment. Recently, TLCNJ has been working right in the West Milford area, saving another 100+ acres in West Milford - 94 acres along the Hewitt Butler Trail which runs through Norvin Green State Forest off Otterhole Road, and another 10 acres along Warwick Turnpike which will allow trails on the north and south side of the road to connect.

Pricing goes up after May 31, so take a minute and sign up today! If you have any questions, drop us a line, and we can connect you with someone who has ridden it in the past. A great event for a great cause!
