Juniors in the Jungle Rocked!
Race results are posted on the sidebar on the left, for those who like to keep track! We'll have pictures up shortly.
There were many people who made this day possible. We'd definitely like to thank the West Milford Ambulance Squad for volunteering their time, and Ringwood State Park for allowing us to hold our event at this great site. We'd also like to thank some of our sponsors - in particular Town Cycle, Trek, and ResQtags for donating prizes. Also thanks to all of our club sponsors, including FX Solutions, ACD Security, Komodo Training, Paintland, Jim Weinbrect Construction, The Hidden Valley Club, and Precision Sprinklers. Special thanks to James Wilbur who acted as our USA Cycling official, and of course, all the members of Team Town Cycle who came out and volunteered their time and talents to make this a success!
Please don't forget the second race in the series, which is on May 9th, at Kittatinny State Park in Andover. For more information, see http://www.teambulldog.com/ . Also for those riders 10+, join us on September 27, 2009 for Race #7 in the Campmor H2H series, the Rumble in the Jungle. Go to http://www.teamtowncycle.com/ and click on the "Races" tab for more info.
We hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did, thanks again for coming out, and we hope we'll see you all again next year!

Juniors in the Jungle Reminder and Weekend Rides
Of course, we can't let the kids have all the fun, so here is our club ride schedule for the weekend.
Saturday…following the First Annual Juniors in the Jungle Race, there will be a Team Town Cycle Club road ride from Town Cycle parking lot leaving at 3:30. The ride will loop around Greenwood Lake counterclockwise and head up Greenwood lake Turnpike. We will continue left down Clinton Road and come back into town on Union Valley Road.
Sunday-Ride will be a Team Town Cycle Club Mtb. Ride from the Kahl’s house immediately following the trail clean-up. Trail clean-up begins at 9:00. We hope to be riding by 1:00 but the start time will depend on how many people are able to attend the clean-up and if we get the trails ready. The sooner we get the trails cleaned up, the sooner we can start Monday night rides! Contact Heather Kahl at heatherk@acdsecurity.com to RSVP and for directions if you are unsure.
Hope to see you out there!

Easter weekend rides
Saturday, April 11 join us at Ringwood State Park, Parking Lot C at 12 p.m. for a mountain bike ride. If the trails are too wet, our ride will consist of the fire road climbs in the park. This is a good opportunity for different ride levels to separate on the climb and then group back with the main crew. Ride time will be 1.5 - 2 hours.
Sunday, April 12, we will gather for a 9 a.m. road ride. Meet at the Town Cycle parking lot. Please remember to be considerate of the churchgoers - it's Easter Sunday, so there will be more people than usual there. Our ride will be around Greenwood Lake in the clockwise direction (for a change of pace!) and some climbing. Ride time will be approximately 2 hours.
We hope to see you there, and that you enjoy your holiday weekend - whatever holiday you celebrate!

Road Ride, Sunday, April 5th
The longer ride will be 3-4 hours…the shorter ride will be 2-3 hours. Bring plenty of water, food, and a few dollars of “anti-bonk” prevention, so you can buy a coke or Gatorade before it’s too late. The longer ride will be geared to our long distance riders and race team members, the shorter ride will be an intermediate pace. The ride will stay together at the same pace until the break-off point as we come down Sterling Forest.
Email us if you have any questions - hope to see you all there!
